Brown’s Streak Hits 18 Games in UCF’s Twin-Bill Loss to Southern Miss

Junior’s hitting streak ranks as the fifth-longest in UCF history.

ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) – Junior Shane Brown collected a base hit in both contests Saturday to extend his hitting streak to 18 games, however the UCF baseball team (7-20, 0-6 Conference USA) was swept by Southern Miss (16-9, 4-2) in a doubleheader, 26-10 and 19-1. Brown’s streak now stands as the fifth-longest in UCF history and is one game shy of tying for the second-best hitting streak by a Knight.
