Michael Greco came off the bench and found Brian Watters for a 56-yard touchdown in the third quarter, and he put the game away for UCF with a 15-yard scoring pass to Kyhmest Williams in the final minutes. SMU had its moments with Aldrick Robinson scoring on a 94-yard pass play and Andrew McKinney ran for a one-yard score, but four turnovers proved to be a problem. UCF only gained 280 yards of total offense, but it took advantage of the mistakes.
Player of the game: UCF RB Ronnie Weaver ran 25 times for 123 yards and a touchdown, and he caught a pass for eight yards
